I relate to this so much because I also have social anxiety though no one in my sorority would ever guess it. It can be really hard to make friends when it feels like everyone is already in groups but reaching out to people one on one is the best way to go! Way less intimidating to get to know someone over coffee :) You could also try talking to your pledge mom about how you feel - it's her job to understand and help you feel more integrated! Other things like going to sisterhood events, study hours, volunteering, or philanthropy events can also help. Sign up to help out with something in chapter. I would also really recommend taking on a position (even if it's just a small one to begin with) because it can help you make friends and feel more connected. For example become your chapter's Rec sports chair or philanthropy director (or something else you're passionate about) will help you meet other girls and keep you involved in something you really like. Don't feel discouraged if you don't feel super connected right away! It is actually really common and it does take time to feel connected to your sorority, especially after the excitement of recruitment, bid day, and new member period is over :) <3
