Sorry you had that experience, but honestly if you are so swayed by the opinions of others then you can't really blame that on a website. Your RC's, women on Council, and the women in each chapter do their best to make sure recruitment is an inclusive and exciting process where each girl is able to find their home. We tell you to go where you feel the best for a reason, and if you choose not to follow that in person, real advice from sorority women and choose instead to listen to a website, then it's on you for not getting to have the sorority experience. All of the women currently in sororities saw Greekrank when they were going through recruitment. They all joined their organizations in spite of it, because they had stronger personalities than listening to anonymous comments on a website. As much as I think Greekrank is negative and toxic, I also don't have a ton of patience for people who blame their whole recruitment experience on it. IF you're your own person, then this stuff shouldn't bother you so much that you don't even join a sorority. Yes, first year is tough for caring about what others think but so many first year girls join their sororities and have amazing experiences regardless of this stupid website.
