As someone in one of the "middle tier" sororities you described (although you'll find out really quickly that no one actually cares about that stuff in the Greek system), the short answer is no! I have friends in Kappa, ADPi, and GPhi who love their chapter and their sisters and seem to have an awesome sisterhood. Yes, there's drama (just like there would be any time you got a group of 100 together), but I think that's natural in any college student group. I love my sisterhood as well, and at the end of the day it's just about finding the place that you can be yourself and call a home away from home :)
