I'm surprised to hear that, I went through recruitment in my fourth year and was invited back to three. But honestly the entire time the chapter I wanted (AOII) never invited me back, I was surprised since I thought they wanted me.. Nevertheless I encourage you to go through it again! I have friends who dropped out of their first time going through recruitment, and when going through it the next year they truly felt so so comfortable with the chapter they ended up in! Speaking from a recruiter point of view: Sometimes it just takes some time, and it's possible the girls you happened to talk to were ones you didn't click with, or the chapter had so many PNMs they had to harshly (and emotionally) cut PNMs even if they really wanted them. I can really relate to that personally, you're never going to be BFFs with all the 100+ girls in your chapter, and for the chapter I joined, I am definitely not close to Amy of the ones I talked to during recruitment. But I found the purity, class, and ambition in both them and the friends I am so incredibly close to in my sorority, that I didn't even realize the intense connection between us all until maybe a month, or maybe ever 6-8 weeks after my initiation. Even now I truly thank those in my chapter, yes those I'm not really close to, for the strength and clarity they have brought to my life 💞
