For the girls that have dropped from my sorority at least, they stay friends with the girls they were close with. Yes, it's a little awkward that you dropped and you won't be able to come to events like formal, but I know for myself and my friends someone dropping and not being in your sorority any more would never mean that we wouldn't talk to them! There are so many reasons that people drop - finances, family issues, or being in a difficult school program and not being able to be as involved. You have to do what's right for you and even though your sisters will miss you, it doesn't mean they'll stop being your friends if they're good people!
