There could have been many reasons you weren't invited back, but you should know that no sorority is EVER supposed to say that they hope to see you back during invitationals. It's against Panhellenic rules and if they said that to you, they're saying it to every girl so that their chapter will get put higher on your list...aka, it's dirty rushing. It might be higher to get in in third year but it's mainly about where you fit in. The chapters that did invite you back clearly saw something in you, and tbh considering the amount of girls that don't get invited back to any chapter, you were lucky to be invited back to them! It's an honour to be a part of any sorority at UBC, so thinking you're too good for certain chapters isn't really going to fly.
