It's actually not that much harder to get a bid as an upper year. TONS of girls join in their third year (quite a few in their fourth this year too). If the chapters like you, age doesn't matter. Obviously something else was going on during recruitment. Maybe you just didn't talk to the right people, maybe your grades are on the low side. Either way it is easier to COB and see how it goes.
