^director of academics is a volunteer position without much power/meaning. No, sororities/fraternities have no way of seeing your grades before you go through recruitment, you can put whatever you want. If your GPA is a 70 and you put 75, it's nbd. If your GPA is a 65 and you say it's an 85, that willl be a big deal. You will have to send in your grades at the end of the semester though, but at that point no one's going to say "YOU LIED ON YOUR RECRUITMENT APPLICATION" because once you're initiated they can't. They can only put you on probation if you're failing.
