Last year around 400 girls were signed up for recruitment and around 290 got bids. However, this was partially because a lot of girls do drop after each round of recruitment. There are chapters that cut a lot more girls than others, but any girl that truly wants to join a sorority will find her place. It sounds weird to say there are more "competitive" chapters, but generally if you have really good grades, play sports, are involved in leadership positions, and are pretty (sorry that's not PC but it's true) then you will have a really good chance of getting into a sorority.
