Let's be real here. Rankings and the Greek tier system may be stupid, but it's there and it's important. Top sororities don't want to function with bottom fraternities and vice versa. If the social part of Greek life is important to someone, they'll rush middle houses and above. This leads to a chain of events and top houses will have, on average, more attractive people. Sure, every house has something good to offer, but on pure social aspect, that's that and that's life. There's no point in complaining. If you have a serious issue with it, change it. It all starts with recruitment. It only takes a few good pledge classes to make a push for middle tier.
