I disagree. If you list them on your card after preference, you should feel committed to at least giving them a chance and see if you like it. They obviously see something in you that you like and you may just be reacting/overreacting from disappointment from being cut from houses you thought you liked better. Pledging is the time to find out if it's for you and if it's not you don't have to initiate. I have more respect for women who depledge than those who receive bids and don't accept.
