RFM is the methodology that tells the sororities how many girls they have to "cut" based on previous years statistics. So, the "more popular" sororities who usually get more back, will have to cut more PNMs early on. Sounds harsh but it actually makes a lot of sense because PNMs will then be able to focus on the chapters they have the best chance of getting into, rather than hyper focusing on a chapter that even if they were invited back to, really don't have a chance of getting a bid. It also helps all the chapters to get quota or close to it.
