Yes, you can definitely join as a sophomore but it is a little harder. Really focus on preparing for recruitment this summer because you're looked at a little differently than freshman. Prepare to explain why you chose to rush as a sophomore because every single house will probably ask during open houses. You're less likely to join a top house, but this isn't always bad because sisterhoods in the top houses are not always as strong as others (glitter and glue). You can definitely get into a top middle tier house as a sophomore.
