I don't think you understand snap bids. Snap bids are done after bid matching and before bid day. Most girls would not know they were a snap bid because it is done in conjunction with bid matching. They receive their bid along with everyone else and participate in all Bid Day activities. So it is not awkward, because no one would ever know. If a girl is cross cut, she can be offered a bid if a house is not at capacity. The house might have taken quota, but might have additional spots so they can go back and pick up a girl they might have preffed, but was cross cut.
