As someone in a frat at IU who is just here snooping its not as great as you would think. 10 years ago it was prolly had the best greek life in the country but the school is really trying to kill Greeklife, at any given time 1/3 of our frats are on cease and desist and cant throw. we have also kicked off 10 frats in the last 5 years leading to most people who want to join greeklife not getting a bid. in the fall almost 3000 kids rushed and only around 750 got a bid. Its so selective the only kids who get bids are people who were friends with current brothers in highschool. This selectiveness has also led to people being OBSESSED with ranking if your not in one of the 6 top houses u might as well be a geed. The partys are pretty insane tho its just very toxic.
