Every year there is a quota set by Panhellenic based on the number rushing and other factors. Most sororities take at least this many, and a few take more depending on their chapter size and how many empty spots they have. Ex. Last year the quota was around 40 (which is pretty standard), and some houses went up to ~50 because they needed more bodies
