As a sorority woman in engineering, balancing greek life and studying is going to be difficult wherever you go. Yes, some houses get better GPAs than others, but that doesn't mean that your performance will mirror the GPA of the house you're in. College is a huge adjustment for everyone, especially academically. What it honestly all comes down to is YOU and YOUR time management skills. If you have a lot of homework or studying to do, you have to have the strength to tell your friends no when they invite you along to a Tuesday night PCP. Mom and dad aren't there to make sure you do your homework; if you want good grades you're going to have to earn them yourself. As long as you have a balanced head on your shoulders, you'll do just fine. One of my best tips I can give is to look for study partners in your major, not your house. Studying with geeds is one of the best moves, as they party significantly less (meaning you'll always have someone who is free to go to Hicks with you). Good luck with rush!
