I'm in a house, which has a reputation for being one of the "party"/"dumb" houses, and I am an engineer. I had to buckle down once classes really started picking up, which resulted in me staying in a lot. Many of my other sisters stayed in too, even though most believe that all of the girls in my house go out constantly. Even if a house has a party reputation, there will still be plenty of girls that stay in to study and keep you company. It's also a perk that if I ever did want to go out, I always had a party to go to and sisters to go with. I personally think it's better to be in a house where you have the opportunity to go out whenever you want because it's easier to stay in than to be in a house that doesn't give you that opportunity to go out when you actually want to or have time to.
