The guy above is pretty spot on. Those houses cover a huge spectrum in everything from social to involvement. Meet the Greeks is a great way to meet guys and get a good feel. Physical house should have very little to do with your decision. If you really want to know about houses ahead of time ask girls you know on campus or even visit the different fraternities websites and social media to learn more about them.
