Houses can only take girls in the spring if they are under house total set by PanHel. We won't know which houses meet those qualifications until the spring semester begins. Houses are under total for a multitude of reasons (missing quota, pledges dropping before initiation, & seniors graduating early). Almost every house is under house total in the spring, even top tiers. Some houses recruit openly in the spring as they value quality girls who for whatever reason didn't rush in the fall, or dropped out before pref night. Other houses take girls on the DL. You have to know a bunch of girls already and let them know well in advance that you're interested in a spring bid.
