While I totally agree with the above comment, some sororities do look at your facebook or instagram as a way of getting to know you better. The conversations you have during rush are very short so occasionally girls will try to find you on those social media sites as a refresher. Recommendations can be helpful because it allows them to get to know you a little bit ahead of time. In no way do you need to plan out your conversations, they should really flow natural and wherever you have the best conversations is generally the house for you! I don't know about the event, but you can probably call the office to check!
