For anything other than DKE/Beta/Phi Delt/Phi Gam/SAE, being a sophomore transfer who doesn't know anyone will not be an issue at all. Just don't suck and you'll get a bid from a middle tier house. And if it really comes down to it and you're dying to be Greek at all costs, there are some lower tier houses that hand out bids like Halloween candy. For DKE/Beta/Phi Delt/Phi Gam/SAE (Chi Phi would usually be in that group, but who knows now), it helps a lot to know someone, and rush is pretty competitive. That said, a bid in your situation wouldn't be impossible by any means. Try to find some kind of common ground with the brothers. Good luck and hope you find the right place, wherever it may be.
