FACTS!!! Your house has nothing to do with how “cool” you are. You can be in a “top tier” sorority and not have connections into “cool” frats and vice versa. There’s so much more to Greek life than frat parties (even though, yeah, that is a part of it). Also, you CAN be friends, even best friends with people in different sororities. It’s a very real thing. All that matters at the end of the day is if you like the girls!! GIVE EVERY HOUSE A CHANCE! You will end up where you belong I promise. And if not, it’s not the end of the world! Everything’s gonna be just fine. Yeah, you may not be invited back to every house you wanted to but who cares! If a house invites you back it’s because they think you’re awesome and want to keep getting to know you. Why wouldn’t you give them a chance? Lastly, stop believing that houses only have a “certain kind of girl.” People pref all over the place. You can pref at Tri Delt and Phi Mu, you can pref at KD and AXO, you can pref at ZTA and Pi Phi, you can pref ADPi and KKG, you can pref at APhi and XO. THIS IS A THING. Houses aren’t just “one type of girl” so please stop thinking that. If you choose a house based on the stereotypes you’ve heard, you might just end up in one that’s not the right fit. Trust your gut. Everything is gonna be just fine! Goodluck and have fun ladies!! also p.s there’s nothing wrong with Tri Sig or Phi Beta Chi, I just didn’t mention them since they’re not involved in formal recruitment right now:)
