I am not a Lambda Chi but I know this to be true. DKE was also in negotiations with my fraternity and we were the finalist. I understand Lambda Chi was more willing to make changes to their icon and ritual since they have incorporated other fraternities in past mergers. DKE letters are DEFINATELY headed to the fraternity graveyard. Personally I am glad my fraternity is not merging with DKE because we rejected most of their membership when they rushed us and DKE has definately been going downhill the past several years.
