How does bid promising/dirty rushing benefit you if you don't end up taking the girls it's done to? And can a house actually "know" whether or not they will get a girl for sure by how they rank her on pref night? Like if a girl ranks a house first, might that house honestly think that they will get her and then be as surprised as she is that they didn't? I've read that if her second choice/pref house has ranked her really high, then they can actually get her...even though they weren't her first choice, especially if her first choice house ranked her high, but not "as high" as her second. True??
