No i know exactly what your saying. But the sorority part of UNC isn't all of UNC. Just because you didn't feel accepted by the sororities doesn't mean you won't be accepted in other places at Carolina. I rushed as a sophomore this year and ended up dropping because I didn't have any houses left that I felt comfortable in and its such a terrible feeling. It's hard to understand why you don't get to experience all of the fun that these other girls get. I was really looking forward to the community from a sorority, but that doesn't mean that's the only community I have/will have. I still have a lot of friends, none of which have every done formal rush, although some participate in other things like the multicultural sorority and the service frat. And to the other commenters- if someone is new to the university and they are going through a process where people are rejecting them who are you to say they're lying about wanting to leave. You can't always just make it to bid day because sometimes you aren't left with any more options. I definitely feel your pain but know that this doesn't define you, and it doesn't mean that you don't have traits that sorority girls have. There are still opportunities to fit in its just hard to see that right now.
