Yes, locals have connections with alumni, but let's be realistic here. DEB is the oldest sorority, and let's say they have 1,500 alumnae. That's a nice size network. Tri Sigma may have 800 LOCAL alumnae, but they have like 80,000 alums around the world. WAY more opportunity with that network. As for affordability, you get what you pay for sometimes.
