Smaller houses have weaker socials if you mean exchanges/block with top sororities, but keep in mind that some of the smaller houses have a good group of cute girls (from many sororities) that go to their parties on a regular basis. And if you are a studly dude, you will get girls no matter what house you are in. Join wherever you feel comfortable, any fraternity can be a good experience.
