bgb - You are basically correct, it's not a destination school for the wealthy. Any old money that does exist at UofI probably joins small houses, as they abhor ostentation. But we are talking alums in this discussion, not the families that send their kids here. In any case, you should just choose where you fit and you like the guys. That's all that matters in the long run.
