As somebody who lived thru 3 1/2 years of “top tier” sorority life, I can tell you that other than growth from several negative experiences, it didn’t make my life better and it added a ton of stress to it. The only positive side to it is making a few close friends after trial and error weeding out people you thought were friends. In other words choose your own friends for the right reasons. I could have done that in a healthier way without joining Greek life. And it was expensive and time consuming with non stop commitments. Consider joining other organizations outside of Greek life. Find quality genuine people to fill your time with. They do exist and you deserve nothing less.
