Looking poor? Joining any social fraternity or sorority does require some level of conformity, the degree of which depends upon the particular group being joined. A PNM should be mindful of this; be herself; and, more importantly, be honest about whether or not she can (or will) fit into that sorority. She should also quickly learn to "play the game" of sorority recruitment. The Greek Chat website has more information about the clothes to wear, recommendations, and selection than the typical Texas State girl will ever need. If you think you may fall into the category of "looking poor" and there are many, many of us that do. We all must sooner or later learn how to "play the game" of giving our best impression. Joining a sorority or fraternity is pretty good experience for this.
