This post is to answer general questions for PNMs. 1.) How important are grades? Well, the grade requirement is different for every chapter however you need a 2.5 to rush, and if you want to get into a "top" house I would suggest having at least a 3.0. The first cuts from recruitment will likely come from grades, so keep your grades up and if they're under a 2.5 you won't be able to participate anyways. 2.) What do I wear? There is an e-book on the Texas State Panhellenic website that suggests what you should wear each day. Yes we are sorority girls and love Kendra and Tory, but you don't need to overdo it or try to impress us with your materialistic things. We want to see the real you because we want to know if you are a fit for our chapter, put on your best YOU. 3.) Do I need rec letters? No, but I will say it could keep you from getting cut the first couple of days. Plus having rec letters really shows that you put forth the effort and that you are serious about recruitment. 4.) Do the chapters creep on me? Yes, yes, and yes. 5.) What type of conversations will I have? Right off the bat, it will be questions like "What is your major?" Where are you from?" "What did you do in high school?" Being involved in high school shows the chapter that you are likely to be involved now. So really put an emphasis on who you are and what interests you, don't be fake and tell them what they want to hear because you could end up in a house that you are unhappy with in the long run.
