Hello pnms! I'm a graduated member of a sorority at Texas state, but not a top house. I went into recruitment wanting a top house and on pref night I had my house and a top house, I called my friend who had just transferred from Texas state and was in a top house for advice. She told me joining a top house just bc they were top, was the biggest mistake she had ever made in college and was the reason she left Texas state. So I looked at my conversations and choose based just on that and I ended up with my house and it was the best decision I made. I made genuine and deep connections that I don't think I would have made at the other house. I know it's tempting to be in a top house bc of all the attention that comes with that. But in the end if you want deep connections look at the conversations. It's possible to get deep friendships in top houses and I know a lot of girls that are happy there but you need to make sure you are looking and the bonds and conversations you make so you make a lasting choice! Top houses are great and this isn't meant to diss them bc there are great girls in every house just make sure you see if you will fit in!!
