As a former member of ZTA, I would advise anyone rushing next fall to consider their other options. Although it is top tier, the truth is that there really is no sisterhood. They hardly ever have sisterhoods events or provide opportunities for the girls to bond. As a result, the chapter is extremely cliquey. I thought that all sororities at TXST were like this but i've talked girls in other sororities and they are always doing things together and are not nearly as cliquey as zeta. I dropped because I was tired of being a part of an organization where I felt uncomfortable going to events and being around my sisters. I rushed to be part of a sisterhood and make life long friendships, but Zeta left me feeling even more lonely and out of place than anything I had ever experienced. If you don't establish a friend group during your first few weeks in the chapter, then you are on the outside. After a certain point, its impossible to make friends outside your group. I know that everyone has different experiences and some girls might fall in love with Zeta during recruitment, but I just want everyone to understand that during that during rush week, each sorority is putting on their best faces and trying really hard to impress you. Just try to see through all of that and remember to follow your gut and don't pick a sorority just because they're the prettiest or top tier. Pick an organization because you feel like the girls you meet will make your college experience the best it can be
