Sorry, but I don't feel bad at all for girls who drop out of college because they didn't get into the sorority they wanted. This is entirely on them. If they want sisterhood, they should just join one of the remaining houses. If they want status, then they should actually do something with their lives. I don't mean to be crass, but these people to me sound like a bunch of clout chasers and gold diggers who have nothing to offer and want the world handed to them for being the daughter of rich parents. Joining a sorority for status is one of the laziest and most pretentious things anybody can do. If anyone were to find the true intentions of anyone who does this, they will most likely and should be dropped immediately. A PNM told me they wanted to join my house for business connections. Instant drop. Never invited back. I've had someone get turned down by a "higher ranking" house in the Spring and then tried to rush ours in the fall after rejecting our bid. You can bet they didn't get another one. I've cut so many people because of the dumb reasons they gave for wanting to be a part of our house. I've even burnt the bid card of the kid of one of the execs from our nationals. Legacy Shmegmacy. I do not want entitled brats who are only joining my house for status. We get a full class every year, so I can be as picky as I want. Nobody is entitled to anything. Our house has been doing fine with this philosophy. We want people who will improve our chapter, not ones who only joined so they could put our letters in their Instagram Bio and live in a nice house. Quit living in 2015. Pretty soon the incoming Freshmen are gonna be younger than your posts.
