Can we clear the air here about 'spots'? There is not a pre-determined number of 'spots'. It is only determined AFTER pref parties how many bids the chapters may offer AND the Quota Plus system ensures that every single pnm who signs a card after prefs is GUARANTEED A BID. Every sorority has the exact same number of bids to offer based on how many girls sign their MRABA card - Total Number of pnm's signing cards/number of sororities (8) = Quota. Then, any pnm's who don't initially match are still offered bids to one of their pref houses, as long as they didn't suicide, even when it puts a house over Quota. Girls drop because they won't give themselves and their fellow pnm's a chance in a house where they are wanted. If more girls would stay in the game then they would get bids and be in pledge classes with other girls in the same boat. This is how rush is conducted across the country. The more pnm's who stay in overall means more pnm's get bids across the board.
