Repeating a bit of advice from my reply to #395, forget about trying to obtain a useful ranking of the fraternities. Focus instead on trying to identify those where the "fit" between you and the fraternities is best. The beauty of the process at SMU is that you have an entire semester to get your feet on the ground and get to know the guys with whom you might be brothers before formal rush occurs--the week before spring semester begins. So relax and take full advantage of this opportunity. And if you decide you don't want to join a fraternity your freshman year or at all, then that is a respectable decision also. Good luck.
