This happened on bid day, and anyone who has actually been greek knows that this is a day of excitement and making new members feel welcome, so I'm not buying the sisters wanting to haze on that day of all days. And by the time you are a senior sister, being forced, or "hazed" into doing anything you don't want to do is not the way that stuff goes down - talked into it yes, because it's your last time before graduation and 'let's all do it together' and 'we're collecting phones so don't worry about it getting out' kind of thing yeah I can see that. In that situation there is a huge TRUST issue where you feel safe within your sisterhood at your own chapter house. And then were betrayed by an insider (not an active sister or new member) who held her own place of trust with them. Even if they knew the camera was in place it obviously never dawned on them that this person would violate the trust they had in her. Alcohol consumption in the house and any actual proven hazing, yep, problem right there for breaking Rules, but if of drinking age not any breaking of Laws. But covertly taping people and threatening to make it public moves beyond disciplinary action and right into law breaking on many levels. Their nationals bungled this; so many better ways they could have disciplined the chapter if they had thought this through.
