Possible hazing from years past had been reported to them, and they wanted to "catch them in the act" per se, so they could address their behavior and lower their risk exposure. If nationals believes that hazing is happening, it is in their best interest to put a stop to it by whatever means necessary so they don't face lawsuits from new members or university sanctions. However, they went about catching them in a really bad and likely illegal way that has now created more issues for them. I understand that some Kappa parents are asking that Dallas PD open an investigation on who placed the camera. If that happens and was done without the knowledge of members, that is definitely criminal.
