It’s heyday was actually from the mid-1980s through the late 1990s; by the early 2000s it was already plummeting downward in a graveyard spiral as we all began going (I.e., forced) underground. Nobody can reasonably be blamed for transferring elsewhere...However, we can run but we cannot hide: they are already persecuting us at Buffalo and Albany will set an example for the whole SUNY system—and some of the rest of the nation. In the last analysis, shall have to stand and fight somewhere...may as well be here and now, and we can make national history.
