Kappa has cut people for the past two years which was why alpha phi could come on campus. There was always the need for a 4th sorority but it could only be approved once kappa could be selective. They are no way as selective as piphi or theta but they have started to be (think 10 or so cuts vs 100s and mainly at the pref round stage). The 100 number includes girls that dropped during the process or did not get bids.
