Why do you care so much honestly? The main point of a society is to meet cool people and have enjoyable experiences. Both of those societies have retained full membership, while some of the "top" ones with more resources have lost a number of members b/c it's hasn't been a fun experience and they don't vibe with the other people. Pleeeaase don't try and turn society into some kind of sorority/ranking bs, exactly the kind of mentality most people are looking to avoid. Just chill.
