what are you talking about? firstly, the tap process for society isn't for two years for this person. secondly, being in a frat/sorority is really helpful to meet the people who can tap you for society. the people in the best societies (bar big 3, which taps based on leadership typically) are people who KNOW people older than them. definitely consider rushing as a sophomore, it's worth it.
