Greek Life is sort of minimal. You don't "rush" societies. You get selected via a "secret" email or a handwritten letter put under your door. Some have giant stone windowless tombs where they conduct meetings/mixers/parties/debates, others have houses, others don't have anything at all. Most have a sizeable endowment from alumni. There are no chapters in other schools. It's only Yale. Some societies have been around since the 1800s (Skull and Bones).
