For years, the number of girls going through recruitment has multiplied and the number of women who are fully released from the process has too. So many women enter recruitment hoping to find a supportive group of empowering women and are told the next morning none of those women wanted them. Most of this is solely because of numbers. Only so many women can get bids when there are only nine organizations. A new sorority needs to be brought to campus because there are girls looking for a spot and opportunity in a community. Not giving these girls an actual shot just continues to push the exclusivity of Greek Life on campus. It’s time to give all women at Elon a real shot at the sorority experience.
