This really depends on you individually and the kind of people you’re friends with. If you’re really involved in a sport or other club/organization, you might not feel left out at all. I am not involved in a sorority and never really found an alternative organization where I could get really involved and make friends that I hung out with outside of the org. Half of my friends are in sororities and half aren’t, so there have definitely been some times where I felt very left out, especially around recruitment. I would say you can definitely be happy without being in a sorority at Elon, but it’s not the easiest school to find a place if you’re not involved in Greek life. But I’ve also had friends join sororities and been very unhappy in them, so joining a sorority won’t automatically make you happy or give you friends. But I’d say if you’re coming to Elon you should definitely consider joining one.
