Elon is a lot of people's first choice. My high school was very competitive academically and several people did not get in and had over 4.0 GPAs with great volunteering and extra curriculars. State is ok yet kind of sketchy since campus is right next to a prison. Elon has excellent alumni connections and internships that get you set up for great paying jobs right after school. Smaller Class sizes with actual working relationships with professionals who don't treat you like a number in a lecture hall. You should feel Blessed to go to Elon. Not to mention the campus is gorgeous and so is the student body.
