I would say Greek life is taken more seriously at Stanford than at our peer institutions (Harvard, Yale, Princeton, etc.), but certainly less seriously than at a USC, Southern school, etc. I think historically 20-30% of the student body is in Greek life. If you're in it, there's plenty of events and things to do. If you're not, there's tons of other things going on to participate in. Greek life is just one of many great social outlets at Stanford.
