Make sure you register as a sophomore, if that will be your standing! For several years, USM has used an "upperclassman quota" system which allows sophomores & older to rush and get bids in sororities without having to "compete" against freshmen for spots. If USM continues to do the upperclassman quota, that'll work in your favor. But even if they don't you should still do rush! It is competitive, but nothing like Ole Miss or State. It's a great way to meet people and get involved! Make sure your grades are good and GO FOR IT!
