At the beg of each round they give you a slip back with the houses you're going to and you're not obligated to tell anyone where you're going / how many houses. The only people that may figure it out is the others in your recruitment group (usually hallmates if you're a freshman). I thankfully got asked back to the max number of houses all the rounds but many other people in my hall didn't. No one made fun of them, and everyone understanding it's is a hard process and most people respect others boundaries. It happens to way more people than you think.
